TV shows have always been a favorite thing to watch whether it will be in the new video-streaming apps like Netflix or the old one like HBO originals. The options are never-ending as one after the another the new one always comes with the exciting content, and the chain continued after with their respective seasons.

Thus, as a viewer, it sometimes becomes confusing to what to watch the next. So, for here’s a list of some of the most awaited TV shows of 2019 that should not be skipped at any condition.

1. The New Pope

HBO is all set to present the life of the first American pope, Lenny Belardo played by Jude Law in its upcoming show titled as “The New Pope.”

It is written by Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentine with Umberto Contarello and Stefano Bises. Overall eight episodes are expected to be streamed.

The New Pope is the story of the young pope who introduced Law’s Pope Pius XIII to the world. Along with Silvio Orlando, the other star cast of The New Pope includes Javier Camara, Cecile de France, Ludivine Sagnier, and Maurizio Lombardi. Now, it will be interesting to see some of the unseen parts of Lenny’s life as a pope.

Too Old to Die Young is a story of a grieving police officer who shot his partner and finds himself stuck in the underworld space afterward. The place is filled with Cartel assassins from Mexico, Yakuza soldiers and gangs of killers mainly the teenagers.

The show is made by Nicolas Winding Refn and is expected to be released on Amazon at any point in this year. It consists of about 10 episodes with 90 minutes of each one. The star cast includes talented actors like Miles Teller, Billy Baldwin, John Hawkes, Cristina Rodlo and  Nell Tiger Free.

3. Stranger Things 3

The beloved children from Hawkings are back again with the third season of Stranger Things. Its trailer has recently been released by Netflix and the premier is likely to take place in July.

As the trailer goes with several interesting details like Dustin attacking Lucas unintentionally with Farrah Fawcett spray, people protesting against the new mall, Billy, Nancy and Jonathan got the new summer jobs and the terminator looking guy’s appearance. At the end, there is a monster emerge out from the several infected people combined into a bad nightmare.

4. Homeland

The final season and eight seasons of Homeland is likely to be aired in June with the 12 episodes in all.  The American spy thriller is created by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa based on Israeli series Prisoner of War. Claire Danes are portrayed as Carrie Mathison who is a CIA officer and after Brody, a US Scout Sniper.

Homeland is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and so far have received several awards like Emmy award for outstanding drama series and Golden Globe Television series award. Other star cast includes Mandy Patinkin, F. Murray Abraham, Morena Baccarin, and Rupert Friend.

5. Games of Thrones: Crypts of Winterfell

One of the most awaited seasons of the year is Games of Thrones that is all set to be aired from April 15. The eighth season will take its lead from the end of the seventh season when the dead army traversed the Wall and have made their way to the Winterfell.

Everything from costumes to graphic effects seems to be bigger than the previous season. However, the makers of the season have predicted that the ending of season 8 might not satisfy all as to end an eight or nine year old show will be a difficult task to do.

6. Veep

The American political drama, Veep was started on April 22, 2012, and has so far has completed six seasons. However, the seventh and the final season is scheduled to go live from March 31 with seven episodes.

Scottish writer of Veep, Armando Iannucci is revolving around the office of Selina Meyer who plays the character of vice-president of US. Meyer and her team try to reframe the image of the American government which is supposed to play day-to-day political games.

7. Mr. Robot

Mr. Robot is a television drama thriller created by Sam Esmail starring Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson. He is the cybersecurity engineer and a hacker having medical issues of clinical depression and anxiety disorder. “Mr. Robot” who is an insurrectionary anarchist recruit Eliot to join the group of hacktivists called “fsociety.”

The main aim of the group is to encrypt the financial data of world largest conglomerate, E Corp. so far, the three seasons have already been aired and the fourth season is having 12 episodes will go on air soon in 2019.

8. Killing Eve; Season 2

Sid Gentle’s Killing Eve is back with the second season, and it is good news for the fans of Sandra Oh who was the M15 officer. It is a British television drama series revolving around the two ladies Eve (Sandra) and assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) who are obsessed with each other.

The premier of the second season will be on April 7, 2019, while it was already shot from July 16, 2018, to December 14, 2018.

9. The Mandalorian: Season 1

The man behind Disney’s recent show The Lion King and The Jungle Book, Jon Favreau is ready with new American Space opera web television series. The most interesting part of the show is that it will go live on Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+.

An Instagram post by Jon Favreau talked about the show in which he said that it takes place “after the fall of the empire and before the emergence of the First Order” and follows “a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

10. Watchmen: Season 1

The new American drama television show, “Watchmen,” is inspired by the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’s graphic novel by the same name. It will be recreated by Damon Lindelof to showcase superheroes of the 1986-87 era with the new ground involvement.

The star cast of the show includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Tim Blake Nelson and Don Johnson with several others too.

According to Lindelof, Watchmen will be able to ask new questions and explore the world through a new lens, and it must be contemporary.
